Studio 209 Steps away from the BEACH

STUDIO for 4 people: queen bed & sofa bed. Fully equipped kitchen has fridge, microwave, blender, pots, pans, cooking utensils, plenty of room w/living space, large TV Spectrum cable, WI-FI, closets/drawers & more! Located across the street from the beach, close to restaurants, shops & bars. 2nd floor, no elevator.

Vista Del Mar is centrally located in the entertainment district. This 3 story condo complex is located across the street from the beach. Our condo is located on the 2nd floor (no elevator). Just outside your door you can enjoy the sunrise in the morning and the sunsets in the evening. Complex features gated outdoor swimming pool area with BBQ grill. Friendly onsite maintenance manager is there daily to make sure the complex is looking great.

Open parking on North side of building off of Tarpon Street. Pool and BBQ area is private and gated.

The owners of Vista del Mar #209 welcome you to their beach home! While staying here, we ask that you follow a few requests that will make everyone's stay more enjoyable and keep the property looking good year after year.

1. Parking ~ is limited to 1 vehicle. Parking pass enforced. Vehicles must be licensed, operable and registered to the occupants. Unauthorized vehicles will be towed at the owners' expense.

2. Occupancy ~ Maximum capacity per unit is NO MORE than 4 guests. There must be at least one adult 21 years of age or older, registered, present and residing in the unit through the duration of the tenancy.

3. Pets ~ One small dog is allowed with a non-refundable cleaning fee of $100/dog. Access to property will not be permitted until payment is collected. The knowledge or trace of unauthorized pets will mean a fine of $400.

4. Noise ~ Loud noise of any sort; music, loud talking, boom boxes, etc. is not allowed.

5. Garbage and Tidiness ~ Garbage should all be disposed of in the dumpster located on the east side of the building facing Pompano St. Please DO NOT dispose of cigarette butts, cans, candy wrappers, trash on the ground. We work hard to make certain the property looks good when you check in. Please help us keep it that way by picking up any litter before you leave.

6. Pool ~ Please wash ALL sand from your body BEFORE entering our pool. The pool equipment cannot handle sand from the beach and causes damage and equipment failure. Please DO NOT leave your children unattended and observe pool hours.

7. BBQ ~ BBQ pit is included. Please clean it after each use. Thanks!

8. Once booked, we will send a custom Rental Agreement for you to complete and send back to us. Without this agreement we will not be able to host you.

9. Wristbands are mandatory while in the pool area.

Important: All our vacation properties come with a "starter kit" including several items such as hotel style soaps, shampoo, dishwashing soap, new sponge, toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, etc. Once these items are gone, please visit the local supermarket to replenish your needs.

Note: The owners of this property will allow Spring Breakers under the strict rules of the premises. Break the rules and be evicted without a refund.

Check in is easy and available 24 hours a day with a smart lock on the entrance door.

The smart keypad door code will be provided to the guest about 48-24 hours before arrival.

Hosts will be available for check-in assistance up until 10 pm, we ask that guests arriving late please let us know via text.

Service Animals need to be with the person they service 24/7. Service Animals cannot be left alone in the property. A service animal left alone in the property is not a service animal and will be penalized with a $400 fee.

Child's highchair & pack & play on request at $25/each, billed on a separate invoice.

You are booking a private beach home. As much as we like to please your every need, we DO NOT work as hotels do. We are not a 24/7 service. Any overnight requests, other than REAL emergencies, will be taken care of the next day. If there is an emergency that threatens a person's life, please call 911.

For special requests outside our scope of work, please message us to get our Concierge's contact.

Date changes might be granted depending on the date of the change for a $100 change fee plus any difference in price.

Cancellations on nightly bookings are only refunded totally if cancellation occurs within 30+ days prior to arrival. Credit Card fees may apply. This will NOT apply for monthly discounted bookings. We highly recommend the purchase of your choice of Travel Insurance to try to recuperate cancellation penalties.

"Rod and Rosa’s condo was just right for me and my girlfriend. It will sleep four comfortably if you choose to. It is a few steps away from the beach access and walking distance from the business district (Laguna Bob’s, Drift Wood, Tequila’s Sunset, etc.). The room has a full-size refrigerator, microwave, mini stove, and Keurig. It surpassed our expectations. Highly recommend!

We wonder if you were happy visiting the beach and all what the Island has to offer since you did not mention it on your review. Regarding your comments about our studio, we also wonder if you did your due diligence before booking our place. We describe our place as it is. You should not have had any surprises. The sofa in our studio was working before you arrived. We did not want to blame you and the very next day replaced it with another sofa-bed even though you stated in the rental agreement that you were only two people coming, but more people showed up without our knowledge. Thankfulness is what we were expecting instead of dissatisfaction. The rate that you paid is the common rate in the island for the high season you traveled in. Our rate system is based on the demand. The same system the hotels and airlines use. Did you look around or was it our place the only place you checked? Next trip, we recommend our Sapphire in low season to match your expectations and budget. Cheers, Rod and Rosa

"We stayed for 2 nights. The condo is lovely, clean, the A/C worked very well and it is so close to the beach- a quick walk away! It is also within walking distance of a gas station, multiple souvenir shops and restaurants, also right across the street from Gravity Park. Everyone in the area was friendly, parking was always available when needed but we mostly walked everywhere! Great location, great hosts that were very responsive, great place to stay! Needless to say we are already thinking and planning our next stay. 5 stars!! Thank you to the hosts!

"My boyfriend and I had an amazing stay in Rod and Rosa’s condo. It was very clean and super close to the beach. It has everything you need to cook and is walking distance to plenty of restaurants if you chose to eat out. They also supply beach chairs and towels which we greatly appreciated. "This was a great little condo literally right across the street from the beach! One night, my husband and I couldn't find a place to eat because every restaurant was packed. So we went to the store and bought some food to cook at the condo. The little kitchenette had everything we needed to make a small dinner! "This condo is so cute and is really close to everything! A few minutes away from the beach as well as all of the top restaurants and bars in south padre. My fiancé and I kept our car parked the entire time we were there. Everything is so close that you can walk to everything. The room is perfect for 1 person or a couple, it is not too small or too large. Rod and Rosa provide the necessities for your stay and I’m they were really helpful and had really fast responses when we asked about the cable. They’re super sweet and I would definitely stay here again.

"Before staying here I did tons of search’s for the perfect place to stay since it was my first time coming to Padre. Let me just say that this place was a great pick. It is super close to the beach literally across the street, 2 minute walk. The pool was great and usually always empty. There’s a store and a subway 300ft away. The hosts have anything and everything you need to cook, literally. The apartment is a great fit for a couple. My boyfriend didn’t like the bed but I loved it. Overall, I would recommend staying here!

"Much better then expected! Easy access to the parking area and pool which we used to cool off from long hot days on the beach. From the condo you have a clear view of the Ocean which is steps away. "This was a great place to rent. Literally 2 minute walk dragging a cooler and beach chairs and your feet are in the sand. The beach is right there. Want to save money by cooking yourself? Everything but the seasoning is there for you. Pots and pans, utensils, measuring devices, plates, bowls, silver, paper towels. Short on beach towels? There's a couple waiting for you. Showers? No problem, outdoor shower for the sand, indoor shower with a caddy and seat to get clean. Need a bag of ice? Gas station next door. Wanna ride go karts on a wood track? Walk around the corner. This place was perfectly positioned for all the fun stuff.

"No pienses mas, ¡elije este opción! A pesar que es un pequeño estudio, realmente contiene todas las facilidades que enlistan. La cama y el sofa cama muy cómodos, demasiadas almohadas, demasiadas toallas, todo lo escencial para cocinar, internet, televisón, ¿que más necesitas? y lo mejor... A PASOS DE LA PLAYA por lo que también facilitan sillas para playa. ¿No quieres estar en la playa? la alberca está grande, limpia y tiene diferentes niveles de profundidas para que todas las edades puedan disfrutar, además que el espacio cuenta con asadores. La comunicación con Rod y Rosa realmete es muy clara, rápida y amable. Sin duda mi familia y yo estamos pensando rentar este estudio tantas veces se nos permita.

"The place is perfect for two people just looking to be by the beach. The nearest access is barely a 2 minute walk. Every restaurant is nearby and there’s even a stripes down the road. The mini stove worked perfectly for breakfast in bed. The hosts are very friendly and responsive to your accommodations. No less than 5 stars.

"Great location, clean and comfortable room. It is a small studio (about the size of a hotel room), but it is very comfortable and it is fully equipped. Parking was easy and check-in process was super convenient. Host if very responsive.

"The property was quiet, the location and accessibility was great. It was not crowded and we basically had the island to ourselves. Everything was as described. We will definitely recommend this property to friends and family. This was the perfect weekend getaway. Was great for a couple just getting away for the weekend and enjoying the beach and great food. We never had to drive anywhere, everything is furnished as advertised. great property.

Regarding the fireworks during the summer, Thursday before Memorial Day to Friday before Labor Day with some exceptions as Saturday before Labor Day and New Year's Eve, are famous in South Padre Island. Every Thursday and Friday at about 9:15pm we hear the boom! People go out to see this performance and it is good for local business. I guess we the locals take it for granted. I understand that if you are not aware and being so close to the Entertainment District the boom might have cause you to be scared but I am sure that after 2 or 3 you realized that the noise was coming from fireworks. The display is so beautiful, specially the Grand Finale"!!! I hope you guys can come back soon. Fall is really nice in the island and we have plenty of activities to keep you entertained. Have you heard about Castle Days? Cheers!

"Great location! Close to the beach and a short walk to some great restaurants, like Louie's backyard. Perfect size for a couple and has all you would need. The bed and couch were both super comfortable and it actually feels quite roomy for studio. Rosa is great as well! She is quick to respond to any questions you may have. Highly recommend!

"Rosa responded almost immediately every time I messaged her with a question about the unit or something in the area. My wife and I were super happy with how clean the unit was when we first arrived. It was the perfect space for the 2 of us and our dogs during the stay for a 4 day weekend. The beach access is only about 100-yards from the front door of the unit, which makes it extremely convenient to just carry your beach gear right to the sand. If something‘s kind of heavy, there are a few parking spots right next to the beach access you can use to unload quickly. The unit also has it’s own dedicated parking spot which is nice to not have to fight for parking on a busy weekend. The spot is long enough to fit 2 vehicles behind one another if you have multiple people there. Overall, we were very pleased with our stay and will be back!

"Perfect cozy place to come for a little beach trip. The condo was clean and well maintained. It's the perfect size for a couple to stay but accommodated 4 guests very well with the bed and pull-out couch. 3 minute walk to the beach access, and there are restaurants and convient stores within walking distance as well. The condo has its own parking access so no need to try to find parking on the street. The pool on site was nice as well, it has its own shower and grill area too after a long day at the beach. Rosa was very helpful during our stay, we would definitely stay here again.

"Great place to stay. It's small, but clean and neat. All you need for a short stay. Very convenient. The beach is so close by. Easy walk to the beach. Walk to some great restaurants. Short drive to many others. I will definitely book there again. Rosa is very responsive to emails, text and phone calls. My only negative would be the water pressure in the shower. But it's not a show stopper.

We have a parking shortage in the island and Vista Del Mar is NO exception. Anyway, why to drive if you can walk everywhere from this building? The taxis and Uber are very affordable in the island and the Metro Bus is FREE!! Cheers!!

"This location is amazing. It was perfect for my honeymoon. It’s a very short walk to the beach and Rosa even provided beach towels and beach chairs. The condo is stocked with all the amenities you would need, even coffee for the machine, and was super clean upon arrival. The shower is definitely made for shorter people and the bed is kinda loud and rickety, but definitely not anything that would keep me from recommending this location.

"Rosa keeps a nice apartment. It was clean when we arrived. This place is suitable if you just need a nice place to sleep and shower. We spent most of our time out doing activities during the day. There’s a nice small kitchen and huge fridge if you wanted to cook and buy groceries. Great place!
